Amret participates in the National and International Environment Day

05 June 2015: To celebrate National and International Environment Day on June 5, Amret, led by Mr Im Sunthara, the head of the bank’s provincial office of Prey Veng and Mr Nuon Vanny, deputy head of marketing and high representative of Mr Chea Phallarin, CEO of Amret, participated with the provincial office in order to organize the event at the Provincial Hall of Prey Veng.

“We feel privileged to have received SMART Certification,” Amret’s CEO said.

“With this achievement, Amret will keep on looking to improve its products and services so as to better serve our customers, continuing our mission to create positive impact on clients’ living standards and contribute to Cambodian economic and social development.”

As part of the celebration, H.E. Oum Vanna, deputy governor of Prey Veng province, and Mr Puth Sarun, governor of Prey Veng town, along with some provincial officials, the police, the military police, soldiers from the provincial military zone, directors and deputy directors of the provincial departments, teachers and students from the province participated in a city clean-up event along the river bank in front of the provincial hall, public parks and streets in town.

“The clean-up event was organized to celebrate National and International Environment Day. Our main purpose is for all the government officials, the citizens and the students to understand and participate in maintaining a clean environment, which will transform the city into a beautiful destination. This will give a good face to the city as well as to Prey Veng province. It will contribute to healthy lives for all of us,” Vanna said.

“A good environment starts with us” The deputy governor also expressed his thanks to Amret, who participated in the social activity that day and donated 15 benches on the river bank, 10 garbage bins, 10 clocks and 35 Amret t-shirts.

After the deputy governor’s speech, Sothara and Vanny handed over all the donated materials to the Prey Veng town governor. Then Vanna and all participants started doing the clean-up on each location assigned to them.
